Bugun Liocichla (Liocichla bugunorum) is a local resident in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India.     Size: 22 cm

Description: This bird is generally olive-gray with black cap and prominent orange lores. Wings show red, yellow and white patches.

Bugun Liocichla was first spotted in 1995, and described as a new species in 2006 by Ramana Athreya. While the total population is estimated to be less than 25, it is hoped that this species may be found in other locations in Arunachal Pradesh and Bhutan.
