Chestnut-breasted Partridge (Arborophila mandellii) is a local resident in eastern Himalayas and Assam. Size 28 cm. Population: <2,500-10,000, Altitude: 350-2,500 m, Habitat: Forest, Threat: Habitat loss, degradation and exploitation. The Chestnut-breasted Partridge has a small declining population (increasingly fragmented), and is therefore classified as Vulnerable.
