Common Shelduck (Tadorna tadorna)

Common Shelduck (Tadorna tadorna) is a scarce winter visitor in north, central and east India. This white, black and chestnut bird is found in large wetlands. Pink legs and bright red upturned bill diagnostic.

Food: molluscs, seeds, tubers, algae, worms, crustaceans
